what henry ward beecher means by this is that don't blame you mistakes on others and take responsibility for your actions. place yourself in a higher level to avoid making the mistake.

Veterans day is a holiday of remembrance to those who served whether they are alive or deceased. Veterans day takes part annually on november 11 due to the armistice of germany in november 1918. The purpose of veterans day is to honor the veterans and bold people who fought for their country. It is important to show honor on veterans day because the people who are recognized with said holiday had a substantial part in helping the united states become what it is today.  A few traditional ways many  people honor the courageous veterans are to host or attend a banquet in their name, or attend various events that your community holds in honor of the veterans, as well as recognize the family members in your life that may be veterans themselves._____________________________

                      what this old saying is actually stating is that if you place yourself in a crowd, that crowds behavior will reflect your own whether said behavior is negative, that is your choice.
for example if you choose to follow a group that is known for being degenerates and rule breakers than you yourself will become just that but if you follow a group of people who are hardworking and determined to do the right thing then so shall you become. This is usually the case for gullible and impressionable teenagers, if an individual's only desire is to fit in or belong to a certain social group said individual will do anything in their power to be accepted whether it is beyond their moral limitations. In this day in age, society frowns upon people who are different and the act of a child eager to find themselves apart of a social group is a form of peer pressure or eagerness to fit in instead of becoming prey to the knitpick bully that is society.
