“In life as in football, you won’t go far unless you know where the goalposts are”

This Questionable quote by Arnold H. Glasgow states that supposedly life  like football can’t function or has no meaning without goalposts because ultimately there is no purpose but there is still the goal of reaching the end zone, which gives you more points than a field goal so basically you could still go far if there isn’t any goal posts but nice try on attempting to make a meaningful quote it just didn’t hold out for very long you know logic wise. Maybe football was not the best metaphor.
